At times, it becomes essential to return to the fundamental exercises, regardless of whether your goal is to push your body to its limits or to simply enhance your physical appearance in casual wear such as a tank top. One such foundational exercise is the pushup. Revered and
incorporated into countless fitness routines for generations, the pushup owes its popularity not only to its effectiveness but also to the convenience it offers. It requires no special equipment or space and can be performed virtually anywhere, making it a versatile addition to any fitness regimen.
“They are perfect for building strength when you do not have the equipment, such as if you are in a hotel room when traveling or can’t get to a gym,” says personal trainer and champion powerlifter Robert Herbst in an email interview, recalling an unusual spot where he made sure to get his workout in. “I did pushups in the shadow of Mt.
