Here are the top 10 advanced Linux commands for beginner-level users, in my personal opinion, each one of us should know these commands and be comfortable with using them. ㅤ

  1. ls
  • Description: Lists directory contents.
  • Usage: ls [options] [directory]
  • Example: ls -la /home/user

2. cd

  • Description: Changes the current directory.
  • Usage: cd [directory]
  • Example: cd /home/user/Documents

3. pwd

  • Description: Prints the name of the current working directory.
  • Usage: pwd
  • Example: pwd

4. cp

  • Description: Copies files and directories.
  • Usage: cp [options] source destination
  • Example: cp file.txt /home/user/Documents

5. mv

  • Description: Moves or renames files and directories.
  • Usage: mv [options] source destination
  • Example: mv oldname.txt newname.txt
